2006年度实验室共有5人次应邀出国或参加国内外会议，并做邀请报告，其中

2006年5月，陈淼研究员应邀在Melboune University，Australia作了题为“Chemically Functionalized Surfaces at the Nano-scale and their Electrochemistry Study”的学术报告；

2006年10月，薛群基院士和白明武研究员应邀前往日本金泽参加了第3届亚洲摩擦学大会The 3rd Asia International Conference on Tribology，并分别做了题为“Development of industrial tribology in China”和“Some Aspects of the Development of Solid Lubrication”的特邀报告；

2006年10月，薛群基院士参加了在济南举办的第二届全国装备再制造工程学术会议，并做了题为“纳米晶及功能梯度防护与修复合金镀层研究”的邀请报告；

2006年10月，刘维民研究员应邀参加了在清华大学举办的“先进摩擦学”中英双边研讨会，并作了题为“Tribological Performance of Some Aerospace Lubricants”的报告。

2006年度实验室有22人次参加了国内外相关领域的会议，并做学术报告。

2006年度实验室邀请了5位国外专家来室就相关领域的热点问题做了报告。

2006年4月11日，加拿大西安大略大学的G. M. Bancroft教授来所进行了学术交流，并做了题为“Chemical and Microchemical Characterization of Tribologically Generated Films Using X-Ray Spectroscopy and Spectromicroscopy(X-PEEM)”的报告；

Stephen M. Hsu，NIST（美国国家与技术中心），Leader，Nanotribology Group应邀来所进行了为期一周的学术访问，并分别于9月11，12，13日做了题为“Nano-lubrication”,“Activity-Surface Texturing，Nano Materials and Eco Materials”，“How to plan & conduct breaks through research”的学术报告；

2006年10月12日，Prof. John Ralston，Director, Ian Wark Research Institute，University of South Australia来所进行了学术交流，并做了题为“Structured Titania and Silica Surfaces Influence of Radiation，Pattern Formation，Self-assembled Monolayers and Fabrication of Nanoparticle Assemblies”的报告；

2006年10月12日，Brian Vincent，Professor and Director of the Bristol Colloid Centre School of Chemistry，University of Bristol来所进行了学术交流，并做了题为“Microgels-Fundamentals and Applications”的报告；

2006年10月12日，Gerard Fleer，Professor of Wageningen Agricultural University，Laboratory of Physical and Colloid Chemistry来所进行了学术交流，并做了题为“When Does (colloidal) Liquid Exist?”的报告。
